Getting started
What is StudentPay?
StudentPay is an Australian platform for education providers, including RTOs, private training organisations and other course providers.
It combines payment plans, payment processing, collections and reporting so providers can offer flexible enrolment without adding administration.
Who is StudentPay for?
StudentPay is built for Australian education providers and their students.
Typical customers include registered training organisations, private training organisations and online course providers.
How do we get started?
Education providers can begin onboarding through Get Started, book a demonstration with the StudentPay team, or request sandbox access if they are ready to explore a technical integration.
Payment plans
What are the three ways to use StudentPay?
Education providers can use StudentPay Agent Setup, StudentPay Enrolment Integration or StudentPay Enrolment Checkout.
With Agent Setup, your team creates the payment plan with the student.
Enrolment Integration connects StudentPay into your existing digital enrolment journey.
Enrolment Checkout is where StudentPay provides the enrolment and payment-plan experience.
Payments and collections
Can students manage their own payments?
An Australian student portal address has not been published.
Students can use Make a Payment for an eligible overdue amount, or contact support@studentpay.com.au.
Enrolment and integration
Does StudentPay have an API?
Yes.
The StudentPay API is the technical interface for connecting Enrolment Integration or Enrolment Checkout.
Technical teams can create payment plans, manage payments and retrieve reporting data.
Sandbox access is available for testing.
Fees and billing
How does pricing work?
Education providers pay 40¢ + 2.9% plus GST per genuine payment attempt, and a $39.95 plus GST establishment fee per activated payment plan.
A $2.50 plus GST failed-payment cost recovery applies to a qualifying unsuccessful attempt, separate from the processing fee.
An $8 plus GST arrears management fee applies per eligible plan for a month when an instalment is still unpaid more than 60 days after its due date, assessed on the last calendar day.
There is no standing monthly per-plan service fee.
These are provider fees, not automatic charges to students.
